Our Future Career Customs Affairs

On May 13-14, 8 students of the GT-31 group, under the guidance of the teacher of the Slavic and Romano-Germanic Languages Chair, their English teacher . Y. U. Makutonina, took part in the X University Olympiad in English among students majoring in Customs Affairs at BSU.

The teams included:

Team 1:

• Belovets Andrey ,

• Kuptsova Margarita,
• Larkova Zlata.

Team 2:

• Antoshin Danila,
• Borovikova Darya,
• Demidovich Veronika,
• Levkovich Irina.

The students had to make 5-minute video introduction in which they had to cover the topic “Our Future Career Customs Affairs ” in English.

After that the most intense and difficult stage of the Olympiad started. Each students had to complete 4 tasks : a lexical and grammar test, a professional English comprehension text, a quiz on customs problems in English, an essay based on Churchill's statement "There are no good taxes".

Our students won the first prizes in the team standings.
