Nikolay Kazakov takes part in the II Educational Forum "Innovative Cooperation: Forum of Uzbekistan and Belarus on Higher and Professional Education"

Rector of the Belarusian State University of Transport Nikolai Nikolaevich Kazakov takes part in the II educational forum "Innovative Cooperation: Forum of Uzbekistan and Belarus on Higher and Professional Education", which is held in Fergana (Uzbekistan) on October 7-8, 2025.
The forum was held at Fergana State University, one of the country's leading scientific and educational centers.
The Belarusian delegation, which includes about 40 heads of Belarusian universities and professional education institutions, is led by Alexander Bakhanovich, First Deputy Minister of Education of Belarus.
As part of the forum, participants will share their experiences in the field of educational innovations and technologies, as well as discuss key areas of bilateral cooperation in higher education and science. A number of agreements will be signed between higher education and professional education institutions.
The main goal of the event is to deepen the integration of scientific and educational potential, share best practices, and jointly implement innovative projects aimed at sustainable development in both countries.
On the first day of the forum, Fergana State University hosted a symbolic planting of young trees, an exhibition of innovative projects from Uzbekistan, and the Drone Racing competition.
The forum delegates took part in the grand opening of the Yakub Kolas Audience of Friendship between Uzbekistan and Belarus.
In 1941-1943, the People's Poet of Belarus, Yakub Kolas, worked in Tashkent.
The plenary session was opened by Sardor Rajabov, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan. The participants discussed current issues related to the education system, the harmonization of curricula, the development of joint educational programs, the establishment of research projects, and the expansion of faculty exchange.
One of the key moments of the event was the signing of international cooperation agreements. In particular, the Belarusian State University of Transport signed an agreement with Andijan State Technical Institute.
In the second half, the forum participants visited the Craftsmen's Center, the heart of the ancient city of Margilan. This place is recognized as a sacred site where not only craftsmanship but also history and art come together. The delegation members observed the processes of satin and adras weaving, carpet weaving, sewing, jewelry making, and household services with great interest. One of the most enjoyable aspects of the event was the exhibition of national costumes.
The second day of the educational forum began in the warm atmosphere of the Harvest Festival.
The forum's program includes three sections. Rector of BSUT, Nikolai Kazakov, participates in the section "Development of Cooperation in the System of Mid-Level Personnel Training" with a presentation on cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan in training specialists for the transport industry.
